What is AIPP?

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) is a Canadian immigration program that allows employers in Atlantic Canada to hire foreign workers and international graduates for jobs they haven’t been able to fill locally. It’s designed to support population growth, develop a skilled workforce, and strengthen the economy of the region.

There are three streams under AIPP:

  1. Atlantic High-Skilled Program (AHSP)
    For skilled workers with job offers in NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 categories.

  2. Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program (AISP)
    For workers with job offers requiring a high school diploma and/or job-specific training.

  3. Atlantic International Graduate Program (AIGP)
    For recent graduates from Atlantic Canadian institutions who have a job offer (no work experience required).

To qualify for AIPP, you typically need:

  • A valid full-time job offer from a designated Atlantic employer

  • Language proficiency (CLB 4 or higher)

  • Education credentials (minimum high school diploma)

  • Settlement funds (unless already working in Canada)

  • Intent to live in an Atlantic province
